Informal requests are created by Repeated events and allow Property Manager to allocate request to Contractors or Internal Teams. They allow for comments to be exchanged or emails to be added. You can reply straight back to the user within the request by going to Select Action Comment.
This will send an email to the user notifying them that the request has been updated by their property manager with your reply. All your options to choose from will be within Select Action. Depending on the type of request you are faced with the options of actions will vary.
These can be set to create a request or re-open depending on frequency.
- Acknowledge – This will send a notification to the resident that you have looked at their request.
- Add Posting – Allows you to add a posting from the request. It adds the request Id and title into the subject. You may need to announce the news to the entire building regarding the request.
- Add Sub-Request – Create another request relating to the first.
- Comment – You can comment to the user in the request. It is a commonly used method to send information or updates quickly to the user. You can refer back to these comments within the History tab at the bottom of the request, where you can also reply to specific comments.
- Complete – Once there are no more actions to take with the request and the user is happy with the outcome, you can complete the request.
- Link Existing Request - This will allow you to link other request relates to the repeated event.
- Edit Request – Once posted you may want to change a few details within the request. This button gives you the option to edit any details.
- Send email – It will give you an option to send an email and who to send the email to or if you want to, you can enter in an email address manually.
- Update private attachments – There is also a section for private attachments which are only visible to Property Managers
