How to complete a Fire Door Survey

Prerequisites:

  • Access to the two systems (Dwellant Core and C-site App)
  • Asset creation at the building level (doors)
  • Survey Templates set up within Dwellant Core (letter and email)
  • Optional - Connection to 3rd Party Printer 

This is an optional extra and may require additional set up and payment.

Step 1: Asset Creation (Dwellant Core System)

  1. Navigate to the building.
  2. Go to "Assets" > "Assets List".
  3. Click "Create Entry Door".
  4. Select the C-site Appropriate door type and subtype (e.g., FD60, internal).
  5. Click "Save" to generate the doors within the system.

Step 2: Data Synchronisation (C-site App)

  1. Open the C-site App.
  2. Sync the data to ensure that the door assets have been transferred to the C-site App.
  3. Navigate to your building.

Step 3: Complete the Fire Door Survey (C-site App)

  1. Locate the fire door survey (C-site Approximately 15 questions).
  2. Go to the physical door.
  3. Take measurements and enter them directly into the survey.
  4. Use either the keypad or voice typing to input data.
  5. Complete the survey for the required door(s).
  6. Synchronise the data within the C-site App.

 

Step 4: Publish the Survey (Dwellant Core System)

  1. Return to the Dwellant Core system.
  2. Go to the building > "Content" > "Building Surveys".
  3. Locate the completed survey under "Survey Type".
  4. Click the three dots (actions) next to the survey.
  5. Select "Publish to Units".
  6. Choose the PDF generation type (informal or formal).
    • Informal: Print within the office.
    • Formal: Sent to a third-party printing organisation.
  7. Select the type of PDF to generate.
  8. Preview the PDF.
  9. Click "Publish".

 

Step 5: System Processing and Notification

  1. If an Informal PDF was selected, the system will generate the PDF (and send an email notification if selected).
  2. If a formal PDF was selected, the system will send a request to the third-party printing organisation.
  3. The survey is now published and ready for distribution.
