Manage your accreditations (Contractor portal)

Accreditations are the list of documents based on the services that you provide.

All the accreditations can be managed under Company > Accreditations from left sidebar menu on new Contractor layout on Dwellant.

On the given screen, you can view all the accreditation fields, their status and description as applicable in lieu of the services you have listed under Company > Services.

If you feel that this list of documents is still wrong even after adjusting the services you provide, please contact technical support.

Add / Update accreditations

  • To add a document for an accreditation field, click on Actions menu (3 vertical dots) on far right.
  • Select Add, choose the type of document from the 'Type of Document' drop-down, and fill out compulsory fields on the next pop-up window.
  • Next click on 'Add files' green button to upload the document from your personal computer. Finally click OK to save.

The Actions menu also has more options as below -

  1. View associated services - this is to view the service linked with the given accreditation. Its by virtue of this service that the accreditation is require d/good to have on the account.
  2. View - to view the uploaded document
  3. Renew - to renew already uploaded accreditation document. If you have the latest document for the given accreditation, click on Renew, fill in the new details and upload the latest file from your personal computer. This will replace the old file on record.
  4. Edit - To edit the details on an accreditation field (expiry date, liability amount, replace document file, etc)
  5. Delete - To delete the accreditation from the list. Once deleted, an accreditation field will no longer appear on the list under Company > Accreditation.

Accreditation status

Colour coded signs left to an accreditation document determine if it needs attention.

  • Green tick means an accreditation document is upto date and good to go. This is best practice and is always advised!
  • Red exclamation mark means its expired. Click on Actions / Renew to update the details and upload the renewed document
  • Yellow question mark means the document is due to expire soon. To update, click on Actions / Renew and update the details and upload the renewed document.

Some common questions...

  1. I don't need CHAS certificate, why am I asked to upload it?

Some Managing agent clients have accreditors such as SafeContractor or CHAS, who may mandate these certificates for all the contractors working for them. Please note that Dwellant doesn't ask for these accreditations; they appear on your organisation's account by virtue of the services provided by yourselves as listed on the contractor portal, or if they are mandated by your respective Managing agent clients. To tackle this, best action is to edit the services provided, or have a discussion with the respective client.

  2. I have a reminder to upload a document relating to VAT. I don't pay VAT or claim back VAT?

If you are exempted from VAT, you can choose option 1 'VAT Exemption Declaration' from the drop-down for the VAT accreditation field from Actions >  'Add' menu as shown below. Choose the 1st option and click OK to save. You don't need to upload any certificate for this case.

  3. I don't have the Contract Works Insurance (or Public Liability Insurance) certificate field on my list of accreditations.

You will find the Public Liability Insurance field under Contract Works Insurance drop-down under Actions / 'Add similar document' option in case its not separately listed on the accreditations list. However if you don't have the Contracts Works Insurance or PLI field at all, its possible that you don't fulfil the criteria or don't have the associated service listed on your Services section on the portal.
  4. I accidentally deleted the Public LIability Insurance field. How do I get it back?

Please report it to the customer service team on an email to add the deleted accreditation field back for you. Note that it won't bring back the document if you had any uploaded earlier to deletion; you would need to re-upload the document once the field is back.

  5. I've uploaded my new insurance certificate however *ABC* Management have said that they can't see it and therefore I have a red mark against it?

The accreditation documents for a Contractor can be viewed on the Managing agent side under: Contractor / List / search for the contractor by name / click on 'Select action ' button / Accreditation documents.

If the Managing agents clients report that they don't see a certain accreditation document on a Contractor's account, despite it being correctly uploaded, one possible scenario is that the Contractor has multiple accounts on Dwellant, and the Managing agent client is looking for the documents on the wrong account.  In such cases, its advised to double check the account name with the client to make sure the documents are uploaded to the correct account and the client is looking for the same on the correct account. On a related note if a Contractor wishes to get these accounts merged, they must email the support team to get this reviewed and actioned. Visit this article for more details on the account merge process.
