At Dwellant, we are getting more frequent requests to move buildings between MAs.
Important Notes:
- Authorization MUST come from the incumbent agent
- THIS PROCESS CANNOT BE UNDONE
- All records will be removed from the original agent
- Accounting package data will not be affected
What buildings can be switched?
Products to consider when switching a building:
- Concierge HV
- Bespoke portal
- Compliance records
- A well-established posting history
- Whether the new managing agent uses Dwellant core
When not to transfer a building
- New agent doesn't use Dwellant
- Limited history/data to share
- Building has a complex history that could be questioned in a formal process
Remember: Not all buildings require transfer. We will discuss this with the people involved in the switch.
There are four main types of switches to consider.
The following guides will help explain your options.
1 ) Complete loss of management, new agent is not on Dwellant - Guide
2) Complete loss of management, new agent is on Dwellant - Guide
3) Partial loss of management, new agent is on Dwellant - This one is a little more complicated. Based on this guide we will make a plane. Please email customerservice@dwellant.com
4) Movement within an operating group - There will be an internal process, please contact your inhouse team.
Dwellant maintains the right to decline a building transfer if the transfer cannot be executed in a manner that optimises the platform or preserves data quality. In such instances, Dwellant has the sole discretion to determine whether to provide additional support to recreate the requested data.
