Control Portal Invites

What is Control Portal Invites?

This allows a Managing Agent to have control over who can the send the first user invitations. It is intended as a safety measure to stop sending out invites to users before a portal is ready to launch. Only users in a group called ‘Portal Invite Managers' can send invites to users in a building when the 'TurnOnInvitations’ setup step is outstanding. Once someone in that group has completed that setup step or sent invitations, others outside the group can.

In the event that the privilege is enabled, the user is not in the group, the user is at building level and the 'TurnOnInvitations’ setup step is outstanding, the ability to send invites is restricted in the following areas:

  1. Users page 'Send Invitations' table header action is hidden.
  2. Add user dialog 'send invitation to this user' checkbox is read only.
  3. User details page 'Send Invitations' button is hidden.
  4. Organisation preferences 'Invitationsenabled' checkbox is read only

Where is it set up?

Control portal invites depend on the Control Portal Invites Organisation Privileges at Dwellant level.

Controlling users must be added to the group called Portal Invite Managers User Group Types at Managing agent level.

How is it set up?

Create a new user group with the correct type and add the desired users to it.
