Property Setup (accounting properties)

For a property that exists on the managing agent’s accounting system to be displayed on Dwellant it must first be synced.

To do this go to setup / Accounting / Controlled properties

Enabling Data Synchronisation

  1. Edit the property (MA Level: Setup>Accounting>Controlled Properties )
  2. Select the Data Synchronisation Enabled checkbox
    1. Estate properties also have the option to sync all properties in the estate.
  3. Select Template organisation from the drop down list.
  4. If you leave building name blank, a new building will be created and linked to the property.  Or select an existing property.
  5. Group name is the name of a block in the building.  If left blank a block group will be created in the building and linked to the property.
  6. Type of units.  Make a selection depending on whether you know if the property contains pseudo units.
  7. Click OK.

Sometimes properties will have multiple entries, which related to different blocks within the same building.  Each will need to be linked to the same building, but different groups.

The property data will be synced to Dwellant the next time the accounting plugin runs, followed by the data ingestion scheduled job.

The ad hoc report "Managing Agent - Accounting Properties" can be used to double-check properties have been linked to the correct buildings.
