Spending warnings can be setup on a building to alert property managers when they raise requests to possible shortfalls in the budget or upcoming major works that may affect spending. This is done through setting up a new category type.
Click Add under categories and call it “Spending Warning”. You will need to change the type to spending warning and leave the handling group blank.
Now if you want to add this to a building you will need to create a building note (further information on this can be found in the property managers guide under the Notes and messages section)
Jump to the building, go to Home / Building notes
Add a new note and make sure the category is “Spending Warning”. The subject and text is up to you but we normally advise calling the subject spending warning also to make it a clear message and in the text, you can provide more detail such as “No work orders over £1000” or “no funds available”.
To test this, you could try raising a request, the message will appear when trying to raise a work order or quote. This is just a warning it is important that we allow property managers to proceed if needed.
