To add a posting, go to Content / Postings / All Postings.
You can navigate through the topics/pages on the left side to choose where to add your posting or you can select Add Posting and manually type the name of the topic you would like the post to appear under. This is the page on the website the post will be displayed.
Topic – The name of the page/topic you would like the post to display.
Subject – Name of post
Enable Formatting – You can tick this box to add more formatting e.g. bold, italic, colours etc.
Content – Content of post
Organisation Recipients – You now have two groups you can filter when deciding your audience
You can select a Block + Group
For example if you click
Block A + Owners
It will only go to owners within Block A (previously it would have gone to Block A and All Owners)
Options/Attachments – You can click this option to open your files on your computer to attach a file if necessary.
You must fill out all the required fields before changing the posting's settings.
At least one organisation recipient group must be selected. It needs to be:
- A group you are in (All Members is the easiest)
- Equal to or subset of the groups picked for the topic
Change Options – This will have further settings for the post. By clicking on this, it will take you to a second page.
The importance of a posting can change how soon the end users will receive an email and optionally a sms message
Normal - Send emails as often as the user has set up in their email notification settings.
Important - Send emails out the next morning.
Immediately - Send emails immediately.
If you do not wish to send out an email notification select the tick box ‘Exclude from news update email:'
Immediate Postings
When a posting is created, its importance can be set to Immediate so that the recipients will be notified immediately. (Note: If the user adding the post is moderated, the messages are sent when the post is approved.)
When Immediate is selected, a warning is given that recipients will be emailed. An additional checkbox can be selected to also send the message via sms.
If the posting is created in the Template building, recipients in all buildings will be messaged. Note that the template building has to have messages enabled.
Users who have never signed-in are not messaged.
Edited posts will not be sent out as immediate. Immediate posts are not included in newsletter emails.
