How to report remedial work (contractors)
This guide outlines how to use the Report Remedial Work portal within Dwellant to request work following a site visit. This form ensures all necessary details, timelines, and supporting documents are captured for approval.
Property and Location Information
At the top of the form, identify where the work is required:
Managing Agent Name: Enter the name of the agency overseeing the property.
Building Name: Specify the name of the estate or block.
Which part of the building? Be specific (e.g., "Apartment 4B," "Rear Car Park," or "Stairwell B"). If the work covers the entire site, you can leave this blank.
Work Details
Provide a clear breakdown of the issue:
Subject: Enter a concise title for the job (e.g., "Broken Guttering - North Wing").
Description: Provide a detailed explanation. Include the materials required, specific access instructions, and names of onsite contacts if applicable.
Categorization and Urgency
Category: Select the relevant work type (e.g., Health & Safety, Electrical, Plumbing).
Importance: Set the priority level from the dropdown menu (e.g., Low, Medium, High). This helps the managing agent determine how quickly the task needs to be authorised.
Scheduling
Target Completion Date: Use the calendar icon to select the date by which you reasonably expect the work to be finished.
Next Action Date: Select the date for the very next step in the process. For non-formal or long-term tasks (like "spring cleaning"), this might be several months away.
Notifications and Quotes
Email Notifications: Select who should receive automated updates regarding this request from the dropdown.
Quotation for Work: Check the box "You would like to quote for this work" if you are submitting this as a proposal you intend to carry out yourself.
Supporting Files
Use the drag-and-drop zone at the bottom to upload evidence or supporting documents:
Accepted Files: Photos (JPG, PNG), Documents (PDF, DOCX), or Videos (MP4, MOV).
Limit: You can upload up to 50 files. Photos of the site visit are highly recommended to speed up the approval process.
Submission
Once all fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are complete:
Review the information for accuracy.
Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to submit the request.
Click Cancel if you wish to discard the entry.
